Skaters of all skill levels and disciplines

As the only NHL regulation-sized rink available to the public, Chaparral Ice functions as the rink-of-choice for a variety of athletic groups. Its most high-profile residents are the University of Texas club team and The Texas State University Club Team. Chaparral Ice also hosts a variety of amateur teams, including our Austin Metro Hockey League teams from 5-year-old “6U” up to adult Chaparral Ice recreational leagues.

HIIT Hockey

HIIT Hockey is coming to Austin!

House of Helland Hockey School

These sessions will be geared toward improving individual skills by creating concrete fundamentals progressing into more challenging skill sets.

Our primary focus being on improving mind to body connection through quick-response drills while maintaining proper skating mechanics. Off ice training will be designed to build strength and mobility. Think ladder drills, cones, running and a lot of sweat.

 

Dates: Phase 1: June 19th-July 7th and Phase 2: July 10th-July 28th

When: On-Ice 10u/12u 5:15pm Monday and Friday. 14u/16u 5:15pm Thursday and 6:30pm Friday.

Off-ice: 10u/12u 4:00pm Monday and Friday. 14u/16u 4:00pm Thursday and 5:15pm Friday.

Where: Chaparral Ice Northcross

Cost: $344/Phase or $619 for both

When: Monday 5:15pm, Friday 5:15pm

Hockey Stick & Puck

Stick & Puck is an open session where skaters can work on individual skating and stick-handling skills. All ages are welcome. Full equipment is required for all minors and recommended adults (hockey helmet, hockey stick, hockey skates, and hockey gloves required. all equipment provided by the player).

Cost: $15.00

Discounts are only available through pass packages. Space is limited. Please register in advance to secure your spot on any session

High School Hockey Offerings

Calling all high school hockey players!
Register today for the Central Texas High-School Hockey Non-Check League starting in September 2021.

When: September 2021 – April 2022

Cost: $775 with flexible Payment Plans Available

Season:

  • 16+ hours of practice time
  • 16 regular non-checking season games
  • At least one playoff game
  • Practices will be mixed of shared and full ice
  • Games will be 75-minutes with officials and scorekeeper.
