Hockey Lite

What is Hockey Lite? – Hockey Lite is like drop-in only you are signing up for an extended period of sessions for a set day and time of the week – Saturday’s @ 6:00 pm. You will be skating with the same group of players for 8 weeks. Get the same work-out and thrill of the game without the bells and whistles of refs, scorekeepers, stats, etc.

Adult Hockey Leagues at Northcross:

Divisions Details:
A Division is a bring-your-own-team advanced division featuring former college/club players with elite skating, puck control, and fast, structured gameplay. Games played primarily on Wednesday nights.
B1 Division is a high-speed competitive division with experienced adult league players and former high school/college skaters demonstrating strong fundamentals and team play. Games played primarily on Tuesday and Friday nights.
B2 Division is an upper-intermediate division for experienced players with solid skating, puck control, and positional awareness at a competitive pace. Games played primarily on Monday and Sunday nights.
C1 Division is a lower-intermediate recreational division focused on development, structure, and enjoyment with players comfortable skating, stopping, and learning team concepts. Games played primarily on Thursday and Friday nights.
C2 Division is a beginner-friendly division emphasizing development, safety, and fun for newer skaters and players seeking a relaxed, social pace. Games played primarily on Sunday nights.

League Overview – Chaparral Ice Adult Hockey is a USA Hockey sactioned league for players ages 18+. All participants must maintain current USA Hockey registration: www.usahockey.com
Winter Season: January through April. (Registration opens in November)
Summer Season: May through August. (Registration opens in March)
Fall Season: September through December. (Registration opens in July)

Season Cost: Seasons consist of 16 games total including playoff and consolation games
Skaters: $504 – Goalies: $252
*Any player with a past due balance will not be allowed to register until their balance is paid in full. 

New Player Skate:
The New Player Skate is for players already registered for the upcoming season only and is required for players new to Chaparral Ice Adult Hockey League, players who have not played in the Chaparral Ice Adult Hockey league in the past year, and players requesting to move divisions.

Special Notes:
Registration for a specific division does not guarantee that you will be playing in that division. Any special requests will be noted, but there is no guarantee that we will be able to accommodate them, this is a draft league. All requests (team, play with, etc.) need to be emailed to the league director.

Hockey Stick & Puck

Stick & Puck is an open session where skaters can work on individual skating and stick-handling skills. All ages are welcome. Full equipment is required for all minors and recommended adults (hockey helmet, hockey stick, hockey skates, and hockey gloves required. all equipment provided by the player).

Cost: $15.00

Discounts are only available through pass packages. Space is limited. Please register in advance to secure your spot on any session.

Adult Drop-In Hockey

Drop-In Hockey is open game play for ages 18 and above and all skill levels in a non-checking environment. This is a great way to improve your skills, stay in shape, and hang out with friends! (Full equipment is required).

Cost: $20.00 per Drop-In session.

Angie’s World Hockey Power Skate

Ages: 18-99.

When: Thursday’s 10:45am

Time to skate on your lunch break! Adults work on edges, skating, and flow drills during our weekly Power Skate. This session is great for beginners and advanced skaters!

Do you want to learn to play hockey? We’ve got just the class for you! Adults will learn how to stick handle, shoot, pass, skate, positional play, rules and team strategies all in a 6 week session.

Adult Hockey 2021 Fall “BYOT” Mixed League

This is a BYOT (Bring Your Own Team) league. This means that there is no individual player enrollment. Instead, captains form their own teams.

Registration: Team Registration deadline is December 10th. Registration form with $299 team deposit upfront required. We will take a max of eight (8) teams.

Number of Games: 8 regular season games + minimum of 1 play-off game

Season Opens: January 2, 2022

Season Ends: March 6th, 2022

Game Days and Location: Games played on Sundays at Chaparral Ice & Field @ The Crossover

Game Format: Three 13-minute periods with referees and scorekeepers. Tied games will be decided by a 3-round shootout.

First Responder Stick and Puck Sessions

This is a special session open to first responder hockey players. First responders typically include, but are not limited to paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers, firefighters, rescuers, military personnel, public works, and other trained members of organizations connected with this type of work.

If this describes you, then you are eligible to attend. Full gear is HEAVILY recommended as there are often times in which the sessions will break into a full ice game instead of separate individual skill work.

All participants are required to be 18 years or older. Sessions cost $13.00 each and usually last between 60-90 minutes. For upcoming sessions and registration click Register now!

Capital City Turkey Brew Tournament

“Capital City Turkey Brew” Austin Annual Adult Recreational Ice Hockey Tournament November 26-28, 2021 @ Chaparral Ice Center @ The Crossover. 

Divisions (3): Adult A Rec, Adult B Rec, and Adult C Rec (Note that divisions are based upon local Austin levels.) 

Teams: 4 per division. All Teams Play 4 Games. 

Tournament Fee: $1700 per team (no individual player registration) $500 Deposit Due 11/5/21 w/ remaining Balance and Final Roster Submission Due 11/20/21. All Players Must Be USA Hockey Registered. USA Hockey Tournament Sanction # – Pending.

Chaparral Ice Northcross provide practices a facility for the professional American Hockey League Texas Stars. Home games are played at the H-E-B Center Cedar Park. The Texas Stars are owned by the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars and are that team’s top affiliate.
