Don't know how to skate........... that's okay! We have plenty of other fun ice activities that are great for group outings!
These activities can be enjoyed by both youth and adult groups. Ice time cost ranges based on start time and varies depending on the number of people and the number of hours rented. Additional hours are sold in quarter hour increments. The price includes the cost of equipment. The ice can be rented out after our regularly scheduled programs. Late night ice time available, great for young adults. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Broomball is like hockey, but you use a stick with a "broom" on the end and a ball instead of a hockey stick and a puck and you get to wear your shoes on the ice! Broomball is played with 10-15 players per team on the ice at one time, with additional players used as substitutes to rotate. Groups with more than 40 people should consider purchasing more than one hour of ice time. All players must wear a helmet provided by the player. Broomball Rules
Dodgeball is just like you remember it from grade school, only we play it on the ice! Dodgeball games start out with teams at each end of the ice, and players are eliminated when tagged by a ball from the opposing team. Soft-soled shoes are needed for dodgeball on ice. All players must wear a helmet provided by the player. Dodgeball Rules
If you are an individual or group interested in learning the real sport of curling, we do have a curling club in town, Lone Star Curling Club. They own their own (genuine) curling stones and rent the ice weekly for real curling games. For more information contact the Lone Star Curling Club. (The equipment pictured below if for curling, not broomball.)
